A tranquil, secluded bungalow set in pretty gardens, surrounded by working farmland, with valley views on the outskirts of Rhandirmwyn, a small village on the edge of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons). Just a short drive from the pretty, popular market town of Llandovery, the house is the perfect base for exploring the area, with its peaceful location making it ideal for a relaxing family holiday, or a getaway with a group of friends. All ground floor, there are three double bedrooms, a family bathroom and a separate shower room. There is an open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area with lovely views on both sides and a comfortable sitting area with a TV and DVD player. Sip your morning cup of coffee as you enjoy the views across the garden and beyond, and in the evenings you can curl up by the woodburner and reminisce about the day's adventures. Outside, sit on the patio and relax, listening to the soothing babbling sounds of the streams that border the garden, and stoke up the chiminea as the evening wears on. The area is surrounded by stunning views and with valley walks from the doorstep, make sure you pack your walking boots! Walk up Dinas Hill, to the hideaway cave of the historic highwayman Twm Sion Cati, try and spot the elusive dippers on the banks of the streams, or take a 30-mile drive to the popular Pen-y-Fan, the highest peak in South Wales. The area is rich in mining history; Rhandirmwyn was once the site of the thriving Nantymwyn lead mine and a few miles away is the National Trust Dolcothi Gold Mine, so why not give panning for gold a go? Close to the edge of the National Park, you are ideally placed to explore the mountains and foot hills of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons). The area offers various outdoor activities, such as pony trekking, fishing and birdwatching, as well as great walking routes and cycle trails. The thriving little town of Llandovery is just seven miles away and an hour's drive will take you to the beautiful Regency Harbour town of Aberaeron and the stunning Ceredigion Bay. 20 miles away is the popular riverside town of Llandeilo, with its fabulous boutique-style shopping and the striking National Trust nature reserve and historic house, Dinefwr. Peaceful and secluded, where you can enjoy the tranquillity of the valley, yet still be in the heart of a village community, Geryllan is a fabulous holiday home for all.
