You will find local pubs together with a deli and restaurant in the nearby village of Marple Bridge and a selection of cafes and restaurants in the town of New Mills, both within 3 miles away. The National Trust s Lyme Park is 4.5 miles and the spa town of Buxton is 15 miles away. Chatsworth House and Gardens is a scenic 28 mile drive. For anyone looking to explore the delights of Manchester, Marple Station (3 miles) has a direct line to Manchester Piccadilly which gets you to the city in approx. 25 minutes. This private glamping escape is beautifully designed to maximise space and comfort, with a king size bed with under bed storage, a comfy seating area with a breakfast table, and a blacksmith crafted, wood burner to keep things cosy. There is also hanging space in a small wardrobe. The handmade kitchen features a Belfast sink, oak worktops, a fridge, a microwave, and a two ring electric induction hob. The stylish bathroom has a walk in shower and heated towel rail and flushing toilet. The shepherds' hut is the only holiday let at Hilltop Farm and has its own attractive gravel terrace, with an outdoor storage box for walking shoes, wellies, and rucksacks. Guests have full use of the pretty perennial wildflower paddock that surrounds the hut, and you can choose from two outdoor dining table and chair sets, and a wooden Lutyens bench, which provides the perfect summer spot to while away an afternoon listening to the curlew and lapwing calls when in season. There is also private use of an enclosed summer house in the meadow for extra space to enjoy the views, relax and maybe have a drink. There is off road private parking for cars at Hilltop Farm, which is only a short walk away from the Shepherd's Hut.
