Resting in the small fishing village of Coverack is this large, traditional holiday home, Penmarth House. With sweeping sea views and a beach nearby, Penmarth House is an excellent setting, located on the Lizard Peninsula, for a large group trip to this part of Cornwall. You arrive at the property onto the private driveway which offers ample parking behind a wrought iron gate, and the sweeping sea views soon become breathtaking, whilst you can begin to enjoy the large garden that surrounds the property, with plenty of lawn for your furry friends to play, a patio boasting a barbecue and furniture for an evening of outdoor dining, and a wood store to get those internal woodburning stoves fired up. You enter the property into a welcoming sitting room, with the added feature of a lovely piano and plenty of seating to enjoy a bit of evening television as the woodburning stove warms your toes. Moving through, there is a spacious kitchen/diner, which also boasts a large dining table for all guests to gather for an evening meal whilst they toast to a wonderful holiday. The kitchen was completely refitted in March 2024. The large property also boasts a second kitchen, so you can prepare a picnic for your day out or cook separate meals for those fussy eaters. Next there is the cheerful snug room where guests can grab a little more privacy which you can use as a study to work in or use this space to read a book as you wind down after a long day. This grand holiday home also boasts ground-floor living, with a double bedroom complimented by a shower room. To finish the ground-floor, there are two cloakrooms with WC's, and a utility with a separate sink, washing machine and dish washer, for your self-catering essentials, which can also be entered from the garden and used as a boot room to leave any sandy coats or shoes. Climbing upstairs there are four en-suite bedrooms; two doubles with amazing sea views, a further double with large bathroom and a twin with a stunning feature fireplace. The first-floor also has a window seat on the landing so you can really take time to admire the views, and separate access to the bathroom with a fancy roll-top bath for when guests need to relax their muscles. There is an Outside tap, rinsing tub and covered hanging/drying area for wetsuits opposite beach room entrance. The village of Coverack is often very peaceful with the sheltered beach being a great spot for swimming, windsurfing, and kayaking, and the local shops, pub and restaurants making for a charming evening out. Penmarth House is resting on the Lizard Peninsula, just a short drive from Lizard Point, which offers stunning coves and beaches, rare geology and plants, wonderful sea views and windswept cliffs, and scenic walking trails along the South West Coast Path. Nearby, the market town of Helston is home to the exciting Flambards Theme Park and is known for its known for its Flora Day Festival, whilst in Gweek you can enjoy the Cornish Seal Sanctuary. For a spectacular day out, head to Falmouth to admire the bustling marina, learn something new at one of the interesting museums or discover the shoreside Pendennis Castle. To get the best out of Cornwall, from exploring The Lizard Peninsula to the lovely seaside town of Falmouth, choose Penmarth House as your base.
