Situated in the lovely seaside village of Llangrannog on Cardigan Bay, West Wales, the cottage is only a three minute walk from the beach and a variety of shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. It is located at the end of a quiet lane along a stream.
The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and rocking chair, and the second bedroom has a double bed and set of bunkbeds, ideal for couples on a romantic getaway, or for families with up to three children. The newly renovated kitchen seats up to six people at a fold-down dining table, plus a highchair. It has a new dishwasher and washing machine, microwave and electric cooker with induction hob. The living room has a cosy log and coal burner and comfortable leather furniture. New storage heaters have been installed throughout. There is wifi (fibre broadband), a Bose Bluetooth speaker, a TV with DVD player and Freeview Play for catch up TV and Netflix access.
The cottage is over two floors, with the bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. Parking is available for one small car, and access is limited on the lane. For larger vehicles, free parking is available approximately 400 yards away. One well-behaved dog is allowed for an additional charge of £25. No smoking.
The coastal path is less than 200 yards away. The spectacular rocky coastline has a number of beautiful sandy beaches and the possibility of spotting seals and dolphins. Aberporth, Penbryn (National Trust) and Tresaith beaches are a short drive away. The nearest large supermarkets are Tesco and Aldi, 12 miles away in the historic market town of Cardigan, which also has a good range of shops, restaurants, cafes, a theatre, cinema, swimming pool and leisure centre. The scenic harbour at Aberaeron is 14 miles up the coast.
Two miles away in Brynhoffnant is a good small supermarket and petrol station. The Urdd (youth) Centre is just outside the village and offers dry slope skiing and other activities. Further afield are the Preseli Mountains, several historic castles and heritage sites such as St Dogmael’s Abbey, and family attractions like the Welsh Wildlife Centre. Other activities include dolphin watching, kayaking, coasteering, golf, horse riding and river fishing.
Located in Llandysul, this vacation home is near the beach. Sculpture Heaven and National Woollen Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include New Quay Honey Farm and Teifi Valley Railway Limited. Traveling with kids? Consider Felinwynt Rainforest Centre and West Wales Museum of Childhood. Discover the area's water adventures with sailing and surfing/body boarding nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with hiking and horse riding.
