A three storey townhouse in Dartmouth with four bedrooms, kitchen-diner, comfortable lounge and Dartmouth town parking permit for one car.
70 Above Town is located in Dartmouth, with views looking over the River Dart from some of the bedrooms and stunning views from the outside terrace. Dartmouth is well known for it’s nautical location and naval heritage. It’s also well known for it’s fantastic shops and large selection of restaurants. This property makes a great location for holidaying as a family or with friends.
Full of character, 70 Above Town is a spacious four bedroom property with a number of original features. You enter the property on the ground floor where you’ll find a well-equipped kitchen diner, comfortable lounge, utility and WC.
On the first floor are two spacious bedrooms – One bedroom has a king-size bed and the second bedroom on this level has a twin set up. There is a family bathroom located on this floor.
On the top floor there is a further bedroom with king size bed, offering stunning views over the River Dart, plus a further bunk room, which has a double bed on the bottom and a single bed on top. On this floor there is a bathroom with shower.
Cot and high chair can be made available by prior arrangement.
Outside you’ll find a deck area with table, chairs and gas BBQ. This is accessed to the rear of the property, and whilst you do need to climb steps to access this area, the views of the town and river make the climb worthwhile!
Parking is not freely or easily available in this part of Dartmouth, however we can provide a weekly parking permit for Central Dartmouth.
Ideally located for enjoying the glorious South Hams.
Whilst located in Central Dartmouth, a number of beautiful beaches can be reached easily – including Blackpool Sands which is the nearest beach to this property, which has an amazing café, and facilities for hiring kayaks and paddle boards. Alternatively, you could head across the River towards the beaches of Torbay. Within the South Hams you’ll also find great surfing spots at Challaborough, Bigbury-on-Sea and Bantham, where it’s possible to hire surfboards, wetsuits and have lessons at all these locations.
Slapton Sands and the nature reserve at Slapton Ley are 8 miles away. The property is situated close to the South West Coast Trail between Dartmouth and Salcombe, and for those looking for a shorter stroll, it’s quite easy to walk to Dartmouth Castle from this property, and why not catch the small passenger ferry back to town?
The town of Dartmouth is a short walk, although like much of Dartmouth, will entail a walk back up the hill to get home; here you’ll find supermarkets, a cinema/ theatre, restaurants, pubs, cafes and numerous independent shops. For those of you wanting to spend a bit more time on the water, it’s possible to jump on a number of boats offering river and coastal cruises. You can even hire your own motorboat for the more adventurous, and head up River to Dittisham where you can enjoy a pint whilst sat on the pontoon!
The popular town of Salcombe can be reached by road being approximately 25 miles from Dartmouth. Kingsbridge is around 15 miles along the coast road. The bus service running between Dartmouth and Kingsbridge stops in a number of lovely villages enroute, and the road itself will take your breath away!
This vacation home is located in Dartmouth. Coleton Fishacre and Coleton Fishacre House & Gardens are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Woodlands Family Theme Park and Golden Hind.
