Set only a short stroll from Port Mellon’s beach (pictured) and welcoming pub and boasting spacious and very attractively furnished accommodation this outstanding property is perfect for family holidays and relaxing breaks. Close by the coastal path offers scenic walking to the wide sandy beach at Gorran Haven and just 0.75 mile away lies the delightful fishing village of Mevagissey with its colourful cottages winding streets and large bustling harbour thronged with boating activity and working fishing boats – the harbourside restaurants are renowned for the excellence of their seafood menus. A little further along the coast is the sandy beach at Pentewan village (3 miles) where visitors can hire bicycles for exploring the traffic free Pentewan Valley Trail or further afield to fascinating attractions including the Lost Gardens of Heligan (also just 3 miles from Bay View) as well as the amazing biomes of the Eden Project and Charlestown its beautiful Georgian harbour often graced by tall ships. Golf is available at Carlyon Bay (8 miles) and at Mevagissey keen fishermen can enjoy a short mackerel fishing trip or a day’s deep sea angling. The village pub is 400 yards and visitors will find a selection of shops in Mevagissey (0.75 mile) whilst St Austell (6 miles) offers more extensive shopping.
