Situated in the beautiful Eden Valley, 10 miles from the market town of Penrith, you can explore the great outdoors, whether by bike or on foot, straight from the front door. Cyclists will be in their element, with the Coast to Coast route close by. Situated close to the Lake District National Park and on the edge of the North Pennines Area of Natural Beauty, there are plenty of wonderful walking routes on the doorstep. Blencarn Fly Fishing is less than a mile away, and a route to the summit of Cross Fell, the highest mountain in the Pennines, is accessible from the property. Local villages within a 4 mile radius have pubs serving local beers and ales, bakeries, tea rooms and independent shops. For alternative outdoor fun, Askham open air swimming pool (seasonal) is 13 miles away. For interesting days out, head to Pooley Bridge and Ullswater (within 20 miles). Historic Appleby (7 miles) and Kirkby Stephen (21 miles) have some lovely historic buildings, castle, shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. On entering the property via the rear hallway, you will find a useful cloakroom with lots of storage for your coats, boots and shoes, which also provides space for your canine friend. There is a utility room opposite with downstairs WC, washing machine and dryer. Walking through into the large well equipped kitchen with an electric range oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher, along with an open plan formal dining room, you will find this part of the house offers a great social space to catch up with friends and family and make plans for the days ahead. Crossing the hallway, the spacious but cosy lounge with views over the green has a Smart TV and warming wood burner. Sit back and relax, catch up on a movie or enjoy your favourite series on your Netflix account. Heading upstairs to the first floor, you will find four bedrooms. There are two king size, a super king size and a twin bedroom. These are served by a generous family bathroom with walk in shower, bath and WC and also a shower room with double shower and WC. A private courtyard with seating area, which offers further outside space, can be found to the rear of the property, a great spot for a sunny afternoon. At the front of the property, a good sized terrace provides further outside space, overlooking the village green. There is private parking for up to four cars.
