Maidensea House is a luxurious 8 en-suite bedroom holiday home, purpose designed to accommodate up to sixteen people. From the moment you arrive, you will relax into the panoramic sea views. Situated in an outstanding elevated position in the peaceful Devon village of Maidencombe, just 500 metres from the beach, a stone’s throw from the South West Coast Path and a short walk to the delightful village pub.

A cinema room, together with a bespoke indoor heated swimming pool and a separate games complex for table tennis and pool, provide year-round indoor entertainment options, while landscaped gardens offer suntrap seating and terraces looking out to sea.

Suited to groups and extended families looking for a sumptuous seaside getaway, the idyllic house has been completely refurbished. The new open plan kitchen is packed with appliances to rustle up a gourmet dinner with 3 Neff ovens, warming drawer and microwave, Smeg induction hob, 2 dishwashers, 2 Frankie sinks, fridge and breakfast bar.

Eat in style around the bespoke designer 16 seat dining table. Fancy a glass of fizz? There are two wine fridges along with a drinks prep area in the dining space before chilling in the living area to socialise around the 4 comfy sofas taking in the seaview. Or head to the cinema room and watch a film on the mega 85” TV with surround sound.

Heading upstairs, there are 7 double bedrooms on this floor all with en suites. Each bedroom is unique, each bathroom special. All have White Company towels and linens.

Four bedrooms have fabulous sea views and three bedrooms have garden/courtyard views.
All bathrooms have been individually designed and are fitted with digital rain showers, vanity units and fabulous porcelain tiles. Bathrooms 4 & 6 have doubled ended baths.
Bedrooms 4 & 5 are interconnected whilst bedrooms 1,3,5 & 7 can be configured as superking or twin.

Back downstairs, there is an accessible ground floor bedroom and shower room which can also be configured as a superking or twin.

With ample gated parking , the house and grounds have been thoughtfully designed for ease of access suitable for wheelchair/pram users.

There is one security camera pointing at the gate and a second over front door. These will be on during your stay. There is also an external noise monitor to ensure house rules are maintained. This records noise levels only and not specific sounds or conversations. Please contact us if you require these disabling during your stay.

Eco-friendly credentials include underfloor heating and an array of solar panels.

Maidencombe beach is a 5 minute walk from the house with other beaches nearby at Shaldon, Teignmouth and Torquay, as well as many coves nestled in the coastline near to the house.

The village has The Thatched Tavern pub whose relaxed cosy atmosphere is a friendly place to enjoy local food and drink. Also within walking distance is Orestone Manor, a fine dining restaurant.

Maidencombe is perfectly placed for kayaking, sailing, paddleboarding, coasteering or just a swim. The stunning countryside and coastal path are literally outside the house while zoos, farms and an abundance of children’s activities are very close by.
