The Roundhouse, Halwell

Devon. Sleeps up to 18

The Roundhouse is a huge and splendid house converted from a barn. With seven en suite bedrooms and a private little annexe, it makes sociable and flexible accommodation for a wonderful gathering of friends or family. The grandeur begins as soon as you step into the main hall - the height of the house with vast rafters, the impressive open plan living space stretches the width of the house. Cook in the well equipped kitchen area, then eat all together around the long oak and stone table below designer lighting. Afterwards, snuggle up together below the big lofty oak beams around the wood burning stove and watch a family movie on the home cinema system. On the same level are two of the comfortable bedrooms at either end of the house. For enjoying a quiet book or the countryside views, climb up the vertical ladder to another comfy seating area on the mezzanine. Children can gather in their own den on the ground floor with a TV and fun piano. You will find five more bedrooms on this floor, all good sized and with French windows off the master double. The annexe is ideal for anyone who loves a little peace and privacy, with exterior entrance and comprising a big en suite family bedroom with comfortable chairs, TV and drinks making facilities. Outside is all the activity you could wish for, with a shared splendid indoor pool, play area and games room, as well as the farm walks to enjoy. The Roundhouse also has its own big private sunny terrace at the back with furniture and barbecues and steps up to a lawn and a pretty meadow area to the side for running and chilling out. The Roundhouse is a very special and thoughtfully designed house to welcome everyone.
