Barn In South Devon, Widecombe-In-The-Moor

Dartmoor. Sleeps up to 2

This property enjoys a fantastically rural location, accessed via a single track road, ensuring guests a high standard of peace and tranquillity. Ideal for walkers, the property has direct access to the ruggedly beautiful Dartmoor National Park, where the famous Dartmoor ponies can be seen grazing the moorland. For those who would rather explore by bike or horse, there are also many miles of cycle routes and bridleways within the park, as well as a number of stables from which it is possible to take professionally guided rides. Of course, the West Country is famous for its beautiful beaches, and this area is no different, with some of the region s finest seaside towns being an easy twenty mile drive from the property, including the elegant resort of Torquay. Guests enter this property via a flight of external stairs leading to the front door, which opens into the property s open plan living space. The property s former life as a barn is very noticeable, thanks to the well maintained original features, which include the exposed beams and the high ceiling. The room is kept lovely and warm, no matter the time of year, thanks to the wood burner which sits in the corner of the room, in front of which are two comfortable sofas. There is also a TV and a dining table seating four, beyond which the kitchen area, tucked away behind the stairs, is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and washing machine. (A tumble dryer is available for guests to use in a nearby barn). Wooden stairs lead from the living area up to the mezzanine bedroom, where there is a king size bed and a wardrobe guests should be aware that there is some reduced head height there. Back on the ground floor, the bathroom has a bath with handheld shower and a WC. Outside, there is a private enclosed lawn with garden furniture, located on the opposite side of the farm yard. There is off road parking available for one car.
