The three-quarters-of-an-acre garden surrounding the property is bursting with vibrant plants and flowers, which make for a wonderful stroll in the summer or simply admire it from the comfort of your private patio with a glass of wine in hand. Within the village of Stockland there are a variety of walks and a church which has regular services should you wish to attend. Nearby is the small and friendly village of Dalwood, it benefits from a rustic pub serving food as well as an award-winning general store. Tremendous walking and cycling can be enjoyed throughout the Blackdown Hills, while on the fringes there are two fabulous market towns, namely Honiton and Axminster, which both host lovely buildings and a superb choice of amenities to make the most of, they also both offer an interesting local museum. If a trip to the seaside takes your fancy, there are a number of marvellous places dotted along the Devon coast; Sidmouth, Beer, Lyme Regis and Seaton are among the most popular. All have good access to the South West Coast Path. A stay at the cosy Lane End Cottage is promised to clear your head from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy the tranquility of the countryside while watching the huge variety of birds who visit the bird table.
