The nearby cattle market town of Holsworthy offers a sports centre where you can enjoy a swim in the indoor heated pool, visit the weekly cattle and pannier market or enjoy the Holsworthy cycle route, a game of golf, go fishing, riding or just take a leisurely country stroll. The dramatic North Cornish coastline, surfing beaches and seaside attractions at Bude are a short drive and the rugged scenery of Dartmoor, Exmoor or Bodmin Moor are within easy distance. There are numerous tourist attractions in the area such as The Milky Way, The Big Sheep, Dartington Crystal, The Tamar Otter Park, King Arthur's Tintagel and National Trust properties are a selection.
