This barn conversion cottage enjoys a quiet rural location on the owner s farm, which is situated on the western edge of Exmoor National Park. The park itself offers over 1000km of walks and cycle routes, taking in heather covered moorland, cliff top paths, and pretty river valleys. For many, a trip to the West Country would be incomplete without a day at the beach, and some of the region s finest are within a 45 minute drive of the property, including Saunton Sands, Croyde, and Westward Ho! Other places of interest in the area include the towns of Ilfracombe and Barnstaple, Exmoor Zoo, Combe Martin Wildlife Park, and the picturesque coastal village of Porlock Weir. This farm cottage has been carefully designed to ensure that disabled visitors can enjoy a relaxing holiday alongside their family and friends without having to worry about access. The spacious open plan lounge/kitchen/diner means that everyone can enjoy spending time together. The lounge area has deep inviting sofas from which guests can enjoy the TV and DVD, whilst the dining table comfortably seats six and is positioned conveniently between the lounge and kitchen areas. The country style kitchen is equipped with everything that guests will need to make themselves at home including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee machine and dishwasher, whilst the washer/dryer is located in the entrance boot room/hallway. The units in the kitchen have been designed to ensure that wheelchair users can make use of the hob and sink with ease. One of the property s bedrooms is located downstairs: a double room which has an accessible en suite wet room comprising of a shower with handrails and a seat, and a WC with a raised seat and pull bars. The remaining two bedrooms are located upstairs: another double room, and a twin room. All three of the bedrooms have tea and coffee making facilities and their own TV, perfect for enjoying a relaxing lie in. The bathroom is a sanctuary like space with a spa bath, a separate shower, and WC. Outside, the property enjoys a covered, decked terrace to the front of the property, where there is an outdoor dining table and chairs, a built in BBQ, and, of course, the wonderful hot tub, providing guests with the perfect place to unwind and let the stresses of daily life melt away. In addition to this, there is a private lawn to the rear of the property, and guests are also able to explore the farm and may be lucky enough to observe some of the seasonal activities of farming life, such as lambing and harvesting. There is ample parking provided.
