In the summer months the property is adjacent to a section of the beach (Gundimore Beach) that allows dogs all year round. It is also just a short walk via the Avon Beach/Friars Cliff promenade with dogs on lead to Highcliffe Beach and Steamer Point Nature Reserve where dogs are also allowed all year round. The 65 hectare Stanpit Marsh Nature Reserve is a slightly further walk, but a fabulous way to walk from The Gatehouse into Christchurch… you can always get the ferry back! The reserve does require dogs to be kept on leads.
