Cilpost Farmhouse is a beautiful dwelling, originally built in the 17th century, that has been substantially extended and modernised.
There is space to comfortably sleep up to 20 adults across 9 bedrooms. A sofa bed is available for 2 kids, and space for 3 babies (2 cots provided w/o bedding).
The indoor swimming pool is heated (~30°C, or more on request) throughout the year.
The house, pool and games room are situated in grounds of ~2 acres that slope gently down through a wooded area to a small stream.
THE SPACE
Swimming Pool - Situated in a large conservatory next to the main house. The pool is heated in an environmentally friendly way throughout the year to a very pleasant 30-33°C. Floats & pool toys are available.
Games Room - Separate building adjacent to the main house which contains table tennis & assorted outdoor games.
Large Kitchen - Well equipped with Rangemaster cooker, dishwasher, microwave. Seating for 8 adults. Full height fridge and freezer and a second smaller fridge.
Double Dining Room - Seating for at least 20 adults simultaneously, with the two rooms joined by a feature stone arch.
Two Living Rooms - Copious seating for all guests. One lounge has a large open fireplace, whereas the other contains a smart TV.
Third Lounge/Play Room - Adjacent to the main living rooms. Stocked with games and toys for children and a TV with FreeSat satellite connection and DVD player.
Bedrooms - 9 bedrooms (all upstairs), of which 3 have ensuite bathrooms with shower over bath and 2 have an ensuite shower room. There is a further family bathroom upstairs.
Additional - Utility room with washing machine & tumble dryer and two WCs on the ground floor.
WiFi - There is wireless internet access throughout the house, and some of the grounds. Typical speeds of 10-12Mbps, sufficient for HD video streaming - the best available in rural Wales!
GUEST ACCESS
The entire main house, games room and grounds are for your exclusive use. Other than occasional use by the owners, the pool will also be available for your exclusive use.
Children should be fully supervised whilst on the premises, and especially the swimming pool. The owners can accept no responsibility for the safety of guests whilst using the facilities at Cilpost Farmhouse.
Interaction with guests
During the Covid-19 pandemic guest access is by key code. Otherwise our Site Manager will normally be onsite to welcome guests to the property and show them around. Following that, guests are welcome to come and go as they please.
THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
Cilpost Farmhouse is situated one mile north of Whitland, a small Welsh village. There is a Co-op supermarket 2 minutes drive away.
The general area has a wealth of leisure activities and historic places to visit. Folly Farm, which currently holds the 'Best Day Out In Wales' award is only 20 minutes drive. Additionally, the start of the beautiful Pembrokeshire coastal path and Amroth Beach are also only about 20 minutes away.
The seaside resort town of Tenby is within a half hour drive and the entirety of Pembrokeshire can be reached within an hour.
GETTING AROUND
There is ample private parking on site for a dozen cars. The property is very accessible - only the last 5 minutes of your journey will be off the national trunk routes. Whitland station is a 5 minute taxi ride away and has a regular service from Swansea, Cardiff and Manchester.
THINGS TO NOTE
Cilpost Farmhouse is adjacent to a working farm.
Playing in the stream at the lower end of the grounds is not recommended due to the agricultural use of the surrounding land.
The house, pool and hot water are heated by an eco-friendly biomass boiler, which ensures comfort through the entire year.
Located in Whitland, this farm stay is in a rural area.
