## Neighborhood

Stockbridge- Elegant Georgian and Victorian terraced houses fill Stockbridge neighbourhood, a vibrant area with a village vibe on the Water of Leith. The Stockbridge area is an incredibly popular residential area and is home to many affluent young professionals. The neighbourhood boasts many local shops, including deli’s, speciality cheese, wine and sherry shops, thrift stores, quaint, relaxed cafes, trendy gastropubs and fine dining restaurants. On a sunny day take a stroll to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Inverleith Park or along the Water of Leith. Be sure to visit the Stockbridge Farmers Market on a Sunday and enjoy lunch from one of the many local producers.

## Transit

From and to the airport- There are regular buses and trams which run from and to the airport. The most appropriate stop is Princes Street, from where you can get a bus (24, 29 or 42) to Stockbridge – though take care to find the right bus stop amongst the many on Princes Street. Taxis and other hire cars are also available from the airport.

From and to Waverley Train Station- The 29 Bus has stops near Waverley Station and at Stockbridge (Kerr Street). See below for tickets.

Between Stockbridge and City Centre. The 24, 29 and 42 buses run between Stockbridge (Kerr Street) and the City Centre. In the other direction, the 42 bus goes to Craigleith Retail Centre. Adult tickets are £1.70 for a single journey or £4.00 per day. Tickets can be bought on the bus with the exact fare only or can be bought in advance using the m-tickets app or citysmart card; see Lothianbuses.com.
