Academy Apartment is a stunning, spacious apartment in the coastal town of Anstruther. Formerly part of the old school, this new holiday home has been fully renovated to an extremely high standard to offer luxury accommodation.
Retaining many aspects of the traditional building such as the high ceilings and full height windows, there are tasteful reminders of the buildings' former life as a school beautifully intertwined into this contemporary and stylish home.
Sleeping up to four guests, both bedrooms benefit from having an en-suite shower room and there is an additional family bathroom. The focal point is undoubtedly the incredible living space which combines a fully fitted and well equipped kitchen with island for additional seating, dining area and lounge with wood burning stove. Gather together at the table to enjoy a meal, relax by the fire or take some time out with a book in the reading nook; whatever your preferred way to spend time, Academy Apartment offers plenty of space to socialise or to relax quietly. There are two allocated parking spaces and the apartment has its own outdoor space with garden furniture to enjoy al fresco dining or drinks.
Located centrally in Anstruther, the harbourfront with its shops, bars and restaurants is only a couple of minutes walk, as is the coastal path which connects all of the East Neuk villages. There is a vibrant arts community in the area with galleries, exhibitions and festivals held regularly. Fife's Larder is celebrated near and far and there is an abundance of local produce to sample from fresh berries to artisan bread, and seafood to craft ales. Dining experiences available in the area include the famed fish and chips as well as Michelin star restaurants.
The East Neuk of Fife is also well known for having some of the finest links golf courses, and with St Andrews only 20 minutes away and Edinburgh one hour, it's the ideal base for taking day trips further afield.
