A wonderful 19th century Cotswold farmhouse restyled for 21st century living in a setting to take your breath away. WiFi, Freeview, home cinema, log fires and a jacuzzi bath will tempt you as much as the big outdoors where you can laze in hammocks, BBQ till dawn or just enjoy your own private meadows and woods. For an additional charge, you can also enjoy our beautiful outdoor hot-tub which comes with ambient-lighting and music. Whatever you are planning, the farmhouse will help make it special.

There is an outdoor pizza oven and BBQ which is free for you to use. And the icing on the cake? All power and heating is generated from our own on-site renewable resources!

The Farmhouse is 500m from the nearest road with intervening woodland which makes it blissfully remote so you can be as quiet or as noisy as you like. Children and pets can run and explore to their heart’s content – as can grown-ups too! Overspill accommodation can be made available and caravans or camping is also possible (additional charges would apply). RAF Brize Norton airbase is about 3 miles away so some air traffic should be expected – and enjoyed too!

There is around 50 acres of meadows and woodland for you to explore! Dry-stone walled garden with pergola, patio, dining tables and chairs for 12 people. BBQ. Fields for football, cricket, boules, or whatever you fancy. Tree shaded areas near house and more extensive woodland 200m away. Simply stunning views that stretch for 20 miles to the south. Space for more cars than you could possibly bring!

Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service:
Towels & linen are included. Property is cleaned weekly at changeover. A cook/housekeeper is available as a separate contract.

Conservatory – 7-seater corner sofa, coat & boot storage, beautiful views!

Burford is a beautiful medieval town and a very popular destination with plenty of good places to eat and drink. Very nearby you also have the Cotswold Wildlife Park, Kelmscott Manor, Thames river at Lechlade and much more. This is a great base to set out and explore the Cotswolds, Oxford and Shakespeare’s country.

- Bibury makes a great day out with its famous Arlington Row cottages built in 1380.
- The river Thames at Lechlade offers lots of interest.
- Home to the 11th Duke of Marlborough, Blenheim Palace is the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and a World Heritage Site
- Cheltenham, Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon are all within easy reach for a day out.
- Kelmscott Manor was the home of William Morris, the famous Victorian textile designer, artist and writer.

- Rose & Crown in Shilton (you can follow the bridleway from the house!) – great Cotswold village with quaint ford, a lovely pub and great food
- Five Alls in Filkins is a very good place to eat and also close but you need to walk down the main road a little
- The Plough at Kelmscott is very popular
- The Swan at Southrup has great food and ambience
- The Spice Lounge in Burford is excellent, as is the Khushi in Lechlade
- The Bay Tree, Burford – fine dining, a classy evening!
- The Lamb, Burford – great old village pub & restaurant, great Sunday lunch

The nearest train station is Charlbury (with frequent connections to London Paddington), a 25min drive away.

Current UK GOV legislation/guidance is changing from Monday 14th Sept 2020. You cannot use this property with people outside your household (including bubble) in a group larger than 6 people.

In the kitchen there is an information poster from NHS telling you what to do in the event of one or more of your group falling ill with Covid-19 symptoms during your stay. Before arrival, if any of your group have signs of Covid-19 symptoms, they and their household must not go to the property.

We have introduced enhanced cleaning procedures with the current Covid-19 situation, following guidance from Airbnb, HomeAway and PASC. We provide hand soap dispensers at all sinks and a hand sanitiser in the kitchen together with a paper towel dispenser. We follow Airbnb’s five-step enhanced cleaning process, which is based on Airbnb’s cleaning handbook that was developed in partnership with experts.

This vacation home is located in Lechlade. Tolsey Museum and Aston Pottery & Trading Company are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Cotswolds Woollen Weavers and Kelmscott Manor. Cotswold Wildlife Park and Crocodiles of the World are also worth visiting. Take an opportunity to explore the area for water adventures such as swimming and other activities like golfing.
