Located in a peaceful street, on the edge of the ever-popular Cotswold village of Bourton-on-the-Water is this large detached property The Bybrook, newly built in traditional Cotswold stone. The contemporary home, sleeping up to nine guests, is the ideal base for a relaxing getaway to the Cotswolds. A path leading up to the front door which opens into a large hallway, perfect for storing coats and boots, before moving into the large, triple aspect sitting room, complete with inviting and stylish furnishings, flatscreen TV and lovely French doors leading out into the back garden. Family and friends can congregate in the well laid out and sociable kitchen/diner, which has all the amenities you need to rustle up a delicious home-cooked meal and gather with your group around the dining table, with additional seating for two at the smart centre island, and finished similarly to the sitting room, with French doors leading out into the back garden. If you’re looking for an hour or so away from the rest of the group, head to the relaxing family room, pop on a DVD and kick back on the sofa which converts to an additional bed for one. Completing the ground floor, you will find a handy utility room with access out to the back garden and a cloakroom complete with basin and WC. Four welcoming bedrooms can be found on the first floor; the master is a lovely triple aspect room containing a king-size bed and benefitting from an en-suite shower room, the second bedroom has double aspect windows and has a king-size bed, the third has a double bed and the fourth overlooks the garden and has twin beds – you are spoilt for choice! The stylish bathroom completes the property and benefits from a welcoming bath for you to relax in before heading to one of the bedrooms for the night. Once you’ve rested your head, cook you and your group a delicious breakfast before retreating into the enclosed garden to enjoy it alfresco style where you will be surrounded by a Cotswold stone wall and a mostly lawn area, with seating and a barbecue to use in the warmer months. At the side of the house is a driveway, with parking space for two cars. You are in a prime location at The Bybrook, with Bourton-on-the-Water regularly voted one of the prettiest villages in England and known as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’, home to a wealth of attractions and shops, restaurants and tea rooms, such as Cotswolds Antiques and Tea Room and Coach & Horses pub and you can spend some time by the River Windrush which has lovely bridges. Surround yourself by wildlife at Birdland Park and Gardens or have some fun at the miniature replica of the Cotswold stone village at The Model Village. Greystones Farm & Nature Reserve is home to wildflower meadows, a working organic farm, Iron Age ramparts, a replica Iron Age roundhouse and an interactive Discovery Barn; offering time out from the hustle and bustle of the village centre, this reserve is open to public all year round and is not to be missed. Nearby Lower Slaughter is widely regarded as one of England's most beautiful villages and is home to The Slaughters Country Inn which is a well-regarded, quintessential country inn, offering lovely food and drinks. Stow-on-the-Wold is the highest of the Cotswold villages, and is a small market town with an array of boutique shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants; indulge in a bite to eat and drinks at The Stag at Stow, or revel in the scrumptious tea and cakes at The Old Bakery Tea Room. Visit Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens where you will find over 250 species of animals and be inspired by the beautiful landscaping and seasonal displays throughout the park in nearby Burford, known as Southern “gateway to the Cotswolds”. For an idyllic escape to the Cotswolds, choose The Bybrook as your base.
