The house dates back to 1820 and was originally the home of the Estate Manager of the historic Broom Hall Estate.
This Fine Georgian Residence, sleeps 14 guests in total, has an outdoor jacuzzi hot tub, and is entranced down a long gravel driveway with extensive parking for cars, boats and jet skiis, (NO camper vans/motor homes, awnings or tents please within the grounds) and is set within secluded mature gardens and historic woodlands. The woods are entranced by a metal arch-way. The grounds incorporate a Japanese garden, various lawn areas, an all weather outdoor table tennis table, a small paddock, a box-hedged garden, an orchard, a range of outbuildings enclosing the cobbled courtyard/patio area which houses the large jacuzzi hot tub, outdoor shower and WC, along with various combinations of outdoor furniture and BBQ (coals not provided). Enjoy a glass of something special in the large outdoor 8-seater hot tub whilst creating your own party fun with it’s own coloured lights and water features so you can enjoy the bubbles in the bubbles! The grounds are perfect for treasure hunts, BBQ’s or just chillin’ and from the grounds you can sneak glimpses of the Snowdonian national mountain range.
Lovingly furbished to a high standard throughout, the Georgian property is bursting with character and features attractive sash windows, original fireplaces in most rooms, wood and tile floors, characterful sloping floors and odd steps, glass finger plates, servant’s bells and cobbled courtyard. No smoking throughout.
Downstairs a warming entrance hall greets all and offers a fireplace, window seating area and comfy chairs to flop in on arrival.. Off the hall is the front staircase and entrance via two doors into the elegant drawing room with Smart TV/ Netflix and a log burner (some fuel provided). Also entranced from the hall is the grand dining room with fire place, large formal dining table and chairs, leading into the conservatory with a junior sized pool table, and double doors opening onto the enclosed cobbled courtyard/patio and hot tub area. The dining room is a great setting for an elegant night in. Some of our parties bring in outside caterers to make their stay even more special! ( subject to T&C’s). A corridor from the entrance hall leads to the comfy snug with fireplace, sofas and Smart TV and board games; downstairs cloakroom with WC; and along to the ample sized fully equipped kitchen/breakfast room with large Range Master electric double cooker, (Rayburn not in use), a fridge/freezer, Butlers sink and dishwasher, table and chairs. The kitchen leads on to the utility room with sink, washing machine, microwave, iron and ironing board and plenty of space for wellies, coats and outdoor clothing from which a stable door leads out onto the courtyard and an internal door to the back stairs.
The first floor accommodation comprises of a super king master bedroom, with feature fireplace, ensuite comprising of a freestanding claw-foot bath, large walk in power shower, WC and sink, hairdryer; two other double bedrooms (both room with hairdryers) one with a sink and both with feature fireplaces; a family bathroom with freestanding claw- foot bath and sink, a separate WC, a small bunk bedroom and a further large dormitory style bedroom (with hairdryer) with feature fireplace with 2 x double beds and 2 x single beds plus ensuite electric shower room with WC and sink.
Located one and a half miles away from Pwllheli centre and a two minutes drive to the World Class Sailing facilities at the Marina whilst only 7 miles from the popular resort of Abersoch. Situated on a regular bus route and only a short walk to the sandy Glanydon beach and Abererch Sands. The thriving market town of Pwllheli has a range of shops, supermarkets, swimming pool, leisure centre, 18 hole golf course and Marina. In addition, the delightful bays, beaches and villages on the Llyn Peninsula of Aberdaron, Nefyn, Morfa Nefyn, Port Dinllaen and Porth Neigwl (Whistling Sands) are all within easy reach. Criccieth, Porthmadog and Portmerion Italianate Village, Ffestiniog railway, Llechwedd Slate Caverns and Harlech Castle are all within easy driving distance.

* RE COVID 19 ONLY - If you are unable to take up your booking due to the following reasons only: COVID 19 closure of the accommodation or area lockdowns then we will refund your payment in full less any administration expenses. If you or a member of your party develops COVID symptoms during your stay and a test confirms infection, we ask you to leave the property immediately. If that is not possible and you have to self-isolate at Glan Afon, then you will have to pay for all bookings that have to be cancelled as a result. Please refer to our full T&C's at time of booking.
If arranged and agreed with the owner in writing we are happy for you to bring in an outside service provider (for example but not limited to : chef/ caterers/ beautician/ entertainer/magician) but we will need to see their the Public Liability Insurance Certificate before hand.
We reserve the right to amend our terms and conditions of booking and also to remove any fixtures and fittings within the property at anytime so please check before your stay if there was something that you particularly required.
Registered assistance dogs may be allowed with prior written consent of the Owner at time of booking at a cost of £80 per booking.
Located in Pwllheli, this vacation home is in the mountains and near the beach. Oriel Tonnau and Plas Glyn y Weddw are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Glasfryn Parc and Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways. Jet skiing and kayaking offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling and hiking nearby.
