Woven along the coast are ruins and castles including Lligwy Burial Chamber, Penmon Dovecot, Castell Aberlleiniog and Beaumaris Gaol, where you can immerse yourself in the island’s vibrant history. Stop in Beaumaris to visit its castle, a mediaeval stronghold or stroll along the pier to delight in truly memorable sea views, the town even runs boat tours to Puffin Island where you can marvel at local wildlife.
