The ancient part of the village is considered a real gem, steeped in history for visitors to explore. There are pubs and eateries among a few small shops and a school in the village. The wider area however, boasts many points of interest to be discovered such as, Longridge Fell which lies at the southern end of the Forest of Bowland AONB. Blackburn town centre offers a wide variety of eateries and shops, as well as an array of attractions to entertain all ages.

This cottage is located in Blackburn. Wilpshire Golf Club and Blackburn Golf Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Stydd Gardens and Mrs. Dowsons Farm. Bowlplex and Waves Water Fun Centre are also worth visiting.
