The cottage is located on the Lincolnshire Fens, with a wealth of local history. The historic market towns of Boston, Spalding, Donington (all within 10 miles), and Sleaford (15 miles) are nearby. Take boat trips from Boston out into the Wash, with excellent bird watching areas, or visit Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve (35 miles), near Skegness. Visit the Fen Rivers for course fishing with Bream, Roach, Pike, and Zander. Ingoldmells Fantasy Island (36 miles) and Maplethorpe (45 miles) provide a great day out for all ages. Another attraction a little closer is the city of Lincoln (35 miles) and its Norman castle. Lincolnshire is home to the R.A.F and if you are lucky enough, you could see the Red Arrows practising. Head through the gated garden to reach the wildlife pond teeming with unusual wildfowl and wallabies. There is off road parking for three cars.
