Great family days out include the outdoor adventure park BeWILDerwood at Horning, Dinosaur Park at Lenwade, Pettits Animal Park at Reedham, and Banham Zoo. The traditional seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, 20 miles, offers fun for all the family. Water sports and boat hire available at the seaside resort of Sea Palling, just an 8-minute drive away. Winterton-on-Sea is just 10 miles away. Visit Wroxham, known as the ’capital of the Broads’, 13 miles, where you can hire a day boat and explore the waterways. There is also a train station, model village, waterside restaurants, cafés and shops available. National Trust historical houses and gardens including Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall, Sheringham Park Horsey Wind Pump, nature and bird reserves can be found within surrounding area. Visit Horsey beach between December and February, and you may spot hundreds of grey seals and pups on the beach. Alternatively, visit the historical city of Norwich, 18 miles, with its cathedral, theatres, museums, cobbled streets and array of shops and cafés. Sea fishing is available nearby. Shops 4 miles, pubs 2 miles.
