The Anchorage is a traditional Welsh stone cottage located near Milford Haven in Pembrokeshire, Wales. This large detached property can accommodate up to 10 guests in its 5 bedrooms. Situated within the Pembrokeshire National Park, the cottage is surrounded by spectacular woodland and is just 5.3 miles away from Milford Haven. The property originally consisted of two separate cottages that have been combined to create a homely and child-friendly base for families.
The cottage features a spacious driveway, a stone fort children's playhouse, and ample space for boat, trailer, kayak, and bike storage. Inside, the cottage is decorated with quirky seaside and boating decor, including paintings, anchors, and stories of the Victorian coastline. The open-plan living area includes a well-equipped kitchen, a family dining area, and a large lounge with plush sofas, a TV, and a decorative fireplace. The cottage also has a utility room for washing wetsuits and beachwear.
Ideal for a large family gathering, the cottage has two double rooms and a twin room on the ground floor, as well as a grand twin and double room on the first floor, both with en-suite bathrooms. There is also an upstairs galleried play area for children, as well as an enclosed two-acre garden with a brick patio, lawn, woodland, and camping area. Guests can also explore the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, enjoy watersports such as surfing and sailing, play golf in Milford Haven, visit historic landmarks in Haverfordwest, and explore the city of St. Davids. The Anchorage provides a magical countryside retreat where families can relax and enjoy quality time together amidst stunning natural surroundings.
