Take a short drive into the heart of Jedburgh to marvel at the remains of its Abbey, view the 15th century Ferniehirst Castle and learn about the tragedy of the Queen at Mary Queen of Scots' Visitors Centre. Venture a little further afield to the market town of Kelso, where you can walk along the River Tweed, tour an 18th century castle and to fuel your adventure there are a cluster of eateries to choose from.
