Nestled between Arundel and Littlehampton, this ideal couple’s retreat can be found in the village of Lyminster on a private road, accessed via electric gates, and the location is extremely quiet and peaceful.
It’s clear that a lot of time and effort has been put into the creation of this delightful holiday home, and the layout has been extremely well thought out. There is a comfortable and well-appointed open plan living/dining room/kitchen, a very good-sized double bedroom, and a spacious en-suite wet room. With all the accommodation on one level, and an allocated parking space available directly outside the property, it’s certainly an excellent base from which to explore all that the area has to offer.
The nearby historic market town of Arundel has a beautiful cathedral and abundance of boutique, craft and gift shops and art galleries, as well as tea rooms, gastro pubs, amazing independent restaurants and tiny delis selling delicious local produce.
Goodwood, with its motor circuit and racecourse, is located just over 13 miles from the property and well worth a visit. There are also plenty of outdoor activities nearby to keep you entertained, from horse riding, canoeing on the River Arun, golf and clay pigeon shooting to lovely walks and cycling trails. Homes and gardens such as West Dean and Parham House and Gardens are within easy driving distance, as are the National Trust’s Nyman’s, Woolbeding Gardens and Petworth House and Park. Midhurst, with polo matches at Cowdray Park, is also within easy reach, and so too are the cosmopolitan cities of Brighton to the east and Portsmouth to the west. Or why not take a trip to the stunning Sussex coast? The beaches of Littlehampton, Worthing and West Wittering are easily accessible, and the beautiful South Downs National Park also makes for a great visit. Looking to enjoy an event or a game while in town? See what's happening at Arundel Castle Cricket Ground or Fontwell Park Racecourse. Spend some time exploring the area's activities, including golfing.
