Located on Northern Ireland's North Coast and the Causeway Coastal Route this long sandy beach is backed by an extensive sand dune system and an impressive cliff line. The beach and dune land fall within Magilligan Special Area of Conservation.Easily accessible the beach is popular all year round with visitors taking advantage of the great views along the North Coast, Donegal and to Islay & Jura in Scotland. Benone Strand is host to a variety of outdoor activities including shore angling, jet skiing, horse riding and power kiting.Directions: From Limavady follow the B69 north along Seacoast Road, turn left onto the A2 towards Bellarena and continue along the Causeway Coastal route for approximately 7 miles to Benone Strand. Bus service between Limavady & Castlerock services the beach from Benone Tourist Complex.
