Whiterocks beach, as its name suggests, shelters at the foot of distinctive chalk cliffs and extends in a westerly direction to merge with Curran Strand and beyond towards East Strand, Portrush to give a couple of miles of continuous golden sand. This beautiful stretch of beach is backed by extensive dune systems and the world renowned Royal Portrush golf course. As with East Strand, it is a popular location for walkers, surfers and bodyboarders, affording beautiful views of the Skerry Islands and the Giants Causeway headland.Whiterocks beach is located approx. 1.5 miles east of Portrush on the A2 Dunluce Road. The main car park at Whiterocks beach is accessible from Dunluce Road, just east off its junction with the Ballybogy Road. Bus services are available from Coleraine and Portrush.
