The Old Stables is set within the grounds of Hatherton Lodge, an elegant Georgian Grade II listed country house set in 25 acres of private parkland setting. Believed to have been built in the late 18th century. The property was the seat of John Twemlow, who testified in the celebrated Mary Malpas murder case, and was the seat of the Barony which became extinct in 1918. The original Georgian stable block has been tastefully modernised to an impeccable standard to produce an attractive, light and comfortable holiday home. The property has striking doorways, a contemporary entrance hall featuring a grand oak staircase, a luxurious very large lounge, dining room for up to 10 people and a well fitted kitchen with breakfast area. The property has a further 4 reception rooms/seating areas. Outside there is the original cobbled courtyard, which provides a patio area with seating for up to 10, perfect to enjoy a BBQ in the summer or relax with friends and family. A separate attractive enclosed lawned garden can be found to the rear of the property, pefect to relax in knowing that it is fully secure and safe for children. Upstairs the property provided 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The large master suite includes a bedroom with king size bed, with exposed beams, Juliet balcony, seating area for x2, TV, walk-in wardrobe and large en-suite with bath, large shower & x2 sinks. Bedroom 2 has a king sized bed. Across the landing is a tasteful family bathroom. Opposite is bedroom 3 which has twin beds, bedroom 4 also has twin beds. Bedroom 5, at the end of the landing, is a further master with a king size bed, TV with en-suite with large shower. The property has parking for more than 4 cars and further space if necessary for more. Secure storage for bikes is available upon request. Unlimited Wifi internet available. There are a number of steps both within and outside the property, therefore, it is not suitable for those guests unsteady on their feet. The price per night is shown at our base rate price, we may offer a discount for the dates your require and at peak times, additional charges may be applicable. The property boasts peaceful views of the south Cheshire countryside rural yet not isolated and within easy reach of a number of gastro pubs.
