Situated on a working farm in the heart of rural Cheshire and surrounded by rolling countryside, these family-run cottages (W44368, W44369, W44370, W44371, W44372 and UKC2919) offer comfortable and well-appointed, self-catering accommodation, perfect for couples and families looking for a relaxing escape, but with the added bonus of there being plenty to see and do within easy reach. For those who want to embrace their surroundings and get a real feel for life on a working farm, the family offers various farm experiences including lambing (seasonal), collecting eggs, a tour of the farm on a gator with the farmer, or children can enjoy riding round the farmyard on toy tractors.
Ideal for families, there is a children’s play area and for babies, cots and high chairs are available. For convenience, there are on-site laundry facilities with a washing machine and tumble dryer, and all of the cottages have free Wi-Fi. Several of the cottages also welcome pets. The farm is a working farm set in 200 acres and there are several ponds around the grounds, so caution should be taken.
There are lots of footpaths and bridleways around the farm, making this an ideal base for walkers and equestrians. Stabling is available on the farm which can be booked separately with the owners.
Millmoor Farm is located near the village of No Man’s Heath, which lies between Whitchurch in Shropshire, 6 miles away, and Malpas in Cheshire, 2½ miles away, so it is well placed for exploring both these beautiful counties. The historic city of Chester, with its famous races and excellent selection of bars, shops and restaurants, is just 16 miles away and should be on everyone’s ‘must visit’ list. Other places worth visiting, within easy driving distance, include Chester Zoo, 17 miles, Blue Planet Aquarium, 20 miles and Beeston Castle, 10 miles. Cholmondeley Castle Gardens are 5 miles and Delamere Forest, with its ‘Go Ape’ treetop adventure park, is 20 miles away. North Wales is also very accessible from here, and the popular beach resorts of Rhyl, Prestatyn and Talacre are all within an hour’s drive. Beach 35 miles. Shop and pub 1 mile, restaurant 2½ miles.
