You can do it all at Ty’n y Ffridd! One of Wales’ finest restaurants, Tyddyn Llan, is just over the fields providing an unforgettable dining experience, whilst there are further places to eat and pubs within walking distance down in the delightful village of Llandrillo.

Ty’n y Ffridd itself is a lovely, detached holiday cottage which features oak beams and has been finished to an excellent standard. There is even a downstairs bedroom, really handy if you want everything on one floor. There are walks from the door, and the adventurous members of your party might want to try the nearby adventure activities such as a high ropes course, paintballing or white water rafting. There is loads to do too at nearby Bala, with Bala Lake being Wales’ largest natural lake, and the town itself offering a selection of eateries, plus a trip along the lakeshore on the Bala Lake Railway.

In the other direction is Corwen, home of an award-winning farm shop and bistro. Corwen is also the terminus of the Llangollen Railway, which offers a scenic trip by steam train through the Dee Valley to Llangollen, home of the annual International Musical Eisteddfod, which attracts competitors and visitors from all over the world. You can also hop on a horse-drawn canal trip on the Llangollen Canal or visit the atmospheric ruins of Valle Crucis Abbey. Beach 35 miles. Shop and pub ¾ mile, restaurant 300 yards.
