This charming, historical building in the heart of the coastal village of Newlyn has been fully restored from one of the oldest original farmhouse dwellings. It now provides a spacious holiday home, retaining a wealth of original features yet has all up-to-date comforts and an antique four poster bed. The wonderful timber floors were reclaimed from a shipwreck.
Standing just yards from Newlyn waterfront and harbour, the property benefits from a large, private, fully enclosed rear garden and patio.
It is tucked away in a quiet, small side street yet yards from the heart of Newlyn with art gallery, cafes, pubs, restaurants and curiosity shops on the doorstep. The property has roadside parking and a car park 150 yards away. Newlyn is a working harbour and fresh fish can be purchased daily.
The quaint, picturesque harbour of Mousehole is a 15-minute stroll or 5-minute drive with its pretty streets, colourful cottages, small sandy beaches and harbour. The area is perfect for exploring the delights of West Cornwall including the famous Minack Theatre, Lamorna Cove, Lands End, the white sandy beach at Sennen, popular with families and surfers. The busy town of Penzance offers a wide choice of shops, cafes and restaurants all overlooking Mounts Bay with its long stretch of white sandy beach attracting kite surfers, bathers and those who love a brisk beach walk, with St Michael’s Mount rising majestically from the sea like a fairytale castle! St Michael’s Mount is open daily and can be reached from the historic town of Marazion on foot via causeway at low tide or by small ferry at high tide. The area is renowned for its art and culture with the famous Newlyn Art School close by. The area was the main backdrop for the TV series Poldark, and offers hours of glorious cliff top walks and heather clad moorlands. Take the scenic drive from Pendeen to St Ives passing many old engine houses and the small village of Zennor, famous for its mermaid tales. Beach ½ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
