With stunning views from every room, Blackrock Beach House offers accommodation for a relaxing holiday with family and friends. The owner aims to indulge guests in the ultimate experience, to relax, unwind and immerse oneself in the sheer luxury and comfort of this home.
The house has polished limestone floors and a sweeping, hand carved staircase, as well as an internal elevator, suitable for up to six people. A meet and greet service offers a complimentary welcome hamper and the unpacking of your online grocery order if required. There are two well-equipped kitchens on both the ground and first floor, and upstairs there is a large dining area opening out onto the garden, with outdoor garden furniture, a barbecue and a chiminea. Steps lead down to the front, landscaped garden.
The 70" TV in the living room has Sky Movies and Sports and Kids packages. For home entertainment, Blackrock Beach House has its own home cinema with twinkling ceiling lights, a 77" screen and squishy sofas. There is also a games room with surround sound, a fully fitted gym room and a bar.
There are six luxurious bedrooms, all en-suite, one with spa bath. The open plan living space has sliding glass doors leading to a choice of two sun terraces boasting magnificent views, here you can sit and listen to the waves rolling in on the beach. On the ground floor there is a fully equipped laundry room with two washing machines and tumble dryers, and a garage in the basement.
Situated on Northern Ireland’s north coast, the area has so much to offer, including the Causeway Coastal Route, running for approximately 200 miles along the coast from Belfast to Derry. This route has everything, from castles to stunning landscapes, whiskey distilleries, miles of sandy beaches and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Areas of interest include The Gobbins Cliff Path, a dramatic cliff-face walkway that takes you right along the water’s edge, Mussenden Temple, Carrickfergus, Glenarm and Dunlace Castle, and National Trust’s Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, near Ballintoy. You also cannot miss a visit to Torr Head and the Dark Hedges.
Portrush itself is host to an array of independent shops, restaurants, bars and attractions, as well as pretty buildings including the Arcadia, the town’s most iconic building, both architecturally and historically. Barry’s Amusements is the largest amusement park in Ireland with all the latest rides and rollercoasters, and with wheelchair access to all rides. You could visit Waterworld, a family friendly water park with two spa pools, a playground, slides and six ten-pin bowling lanes. Nearby Royal Portrush Golf Club hosted the British Open Championship in 2019, and is a legendary, long-standing, 36-hole golf course, with fantastic scenic views. Other golf courses within close proximity include Portstewart Club, Castlerock Golf Club and Ballycastle Golf Club, and also within easy driving distance is Ballyliffin Golf Club. Beach 100 yards.
