Just 3 miles away is Portstewart which has a harbour and scenic coastal paths which form an Atlantic promenade, and Dunluce Castle is also a similar distance. Golfers can enjoy a round at the Royal Portrush Golf Club, a legendary 36-hole golf course with scenic views, or at Rathmore Golf Club. Every May, the North West 200 motorcycling race is held in Northern Island and passes between the towns of Portrush, Portstewart and Coleraine.

Giant’s Causeway, a natural wonder of the world, is 7 miles from Strathroy Mews and the rock lava formations here are a definite must see. It is a great walk and has incredible views. Mussenden Temple, 14 miles, has beautiful coastal views, an interesting history and is great for children to run around and explore. The Dark Hedges, 15 miles, is one of the most photographed areas in Northern Ireland and a popular attraction for tourists from across the world, especially as it is one of the sites feature in the TV series ’Game of Thrones.’ Slightly further afield are Derry/Londonderry, Country Donegal and The Titanic Centre in Belfast. Beach ½ mile. Shop 530 yards, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
