These delightful cottages are located right in the Burren National Park on the Wild Atlantic Way, just over 2 miles from the village of Doolin in County Clare. The properties are luxurious in design but homely so you can relax in comfort with views out to the Atlantic and across the beautiful landscape of The Burren National Park. This is a wonderful base for those who wish to explore this part of the west of Ireland and all it has to offer.

The Hawthorn (ref W32356) is an old cottage which has been beautifully renovated and lovingly restored, combining traditional cottage ambiance with contemporary style. There are four bedrooms, all with king or super kingsize beds and four bath/shower rooms. The living room has lovely comfortable sofas, made cosy with a wood burner; the kitchen is finished to a high standard, and has a lovely breakfast bar.

The Hazel (ref W32366) is a true gem and stands detached. It has been tastefully restored from a former cow shed and offers visitors comfort and space. The double height sitting room with wood burner is most inviting and the lovingly furnished bedrooms have sumptuous super kingsize beds.

The properties are just 10 minutes’ drive outside the pretty village of Doolin from where you can take boat trips out to the Aran Islands. In the village there are great pubs serving fresh seafood and where you will probably come upon an impromptu traditional Irish music session. The wonderful Burren landscape has ancient monuments including the Poulnabrone Dolmen, ancient church ruins and holy wells. The award-winning Doolin Cave and Visitor Centre is home to the Great Stalactite which at 23 feet is the longest free-hanging stalactite in Europe. You can also visit the Ailwee Cave, Hazel Mountain Chocolate Factory and The Burren Perfumery all within easy reach. Beach at Fanore, 5 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant in Doolin 2½ miles.
