Willow Mill, once two properties, have been combined creating one luxury dwelling with quirky corners to sit and get lost in a book, play a board game, or enjoy views over the paddock onto the river. The hub of the home is the kitchen, with a five oven Aga and lots of cupboard space, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, who wants to wash up when they’re on holiday! Enjoy your breakfast at the breakfast bar or open plan dining room hosting a large dining table for all to get together and plan your day ahead. Take a trip to Keswick just a 25-minute drive away, or the steamer at Ullswater only 10 minutes away, all within easy reach. Enjoy a meal down at the local pub with its beer garden, just a 5-minute stroll away.
If you’re feeling energetic, try out the full size tennis court or table tennis, for the smaller children there is a play area to enjoy. The lawned garden is ideal for a game of football or cricket, and the patio areas are great for dining al fresco with a barbecue. Enjoy the evening in the bar area with a game of pool or darts, or sit out in the courtyard or in the conservatory and enjoy that well deserved glass of wine while your little ones play with the farm table with tractors and animals. On those rainy days there is still plenty to do with a playroom with a Wii, Wii –U, and Xbox Kinect 360, two large screen TVs. Rally around on the Ferrari driving steering wheel and chill out with a selection of DVDs, and an abundance of board games. Take a stroll in the woods to spot the woodpeckers and tree creepers, listen out for the shriek of the heron that flies by up the river every evening. The swans often sail on by too, taking a trip from Pooley Bridge just up the road. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
