The cottage is set over three floors with five bedrooms. On the first floor are three bedrooms and a large family bathroom accommodating a bath and separate shower. On the second floor there is a large family room with four single beds and a separate single room sharing a second bathroom with shower. There is an enclosed, spacious rear courtyard with decking area.
Flookburgh is a traditional Cumbrian village and it hosts an abundance of local shops, including an artisan bakery and two local pubs, all within walking distance from the cottage. Many of the village’s buildings date back to the 1600’s. Flookburgh is just 6 miles from Lakeside which sits at the southern tip of England’s largest lake, Lake Windermere. Lakeside is home to Haverthwaite Railway, the Aquarium of the Lakes and Windermere Lake Cruises.
The Edwardian resort of Grange-over-Sands is just 2 miles away, where you will find quality shops and restaurants, a golf course and a beautiful promenade. The fabulous house and gardens of Holker Hall are just down the road in Cark. There are also an abundance of walks and cycling routes that can be enjoyed right from the doorstep of Dolphin Cottage, including a 10km off road coastal route to Cartmel offering stunning scenery along the way.
Other local attractions include: Lakeland Miniature Village just around the corner, Humphrey Head, a popular viewpoint with fantastic views across to Morecambe Bay, Wraysholme Tower and the historic market town of Ulverston.
