This Victorian detached stone built house situated in a picturesque setting was built in 1880 it has a spectacular Orangerie attached to the side of the property. The house has been renovated to a very high standard with all rooms being a good size and commands some excellent views over the local reservoir from most rooms. There are some enjoyable walks from the doorstep and a short drive will take you to the popular market towns of Matlock Bakewell and Chesterfield. You enter the property into the hall to the left is the snug/kitchen which has comfortable seating and a welcoming gas coal effect fire with the kitchen having all the essential equipment you will need for your stay and bespoke hand painted units. Off the kitchen is the Blue Room a formal dining/lounge with views over the reservoir and a coal effect gas fire this room is also accessed from the hall. To the right of the snug is the Orangerie which has a tiled floor with under-floor heating a dining table that will accommodate 12 people a very comfortable lounge area with a home cinema system and DVD and splendid views of the reservoir and the surrounding countryside. There is a cloakroom at the end of the hall and a second staircase from the kitchen to the first floor. The main staircase from the hall leads to the first floor with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Bedrooms one and two have king sized double beds and Victorian tiled fireplaces while the third bedroom has a double bed. Both bathrooms have Victorian roll top baths separate shower cubicles hand basins and toilets. Stairs from the first floor lead to a half landing that has a study area with desk computer with internet access and a printer. On the second floor there are a further three bedrooms all with beamed ceilings one with a king size bed and the other two each with a single bed. On the landing there is a further study area and a general bathroom with bath with hand shower toilet and hand basin. Two further fold up beds are available on request. To the side of the property are sitting out areas with picnic tables and a large lawned garden and also use of the owners field. To the front of the property is a further sitting out area with loungers and patio furniture and steps leading down to another lawned garden. The front really takes in the most spectacular views and it s a beautiful place to sit and relax in the peaceful surroundings.
