Belmont House is a fine Edwardian country house in the heart of Edale, in the Peak District National Park. It has recently received a complete 5 star renovation providing high class facilities throughout. There are six bedrooms that offer flexible family accommodation; bedrooms can be organised with a range of Superking or Twin options. Four are en-suite plus additional 3 bathrooms.
The main sitting room has a period style woodburner set in an ornate, Jacobean fire place; comfortable seating on two large sofa's plus a Chaisse Longue and comfy chairs surround the state of the art 42 inch flat screen TV. A wide selection of traditional board games and DVDs are provided.
The second sitting room / morning room opens onto the kitchen where a pre-WWII propeller sits above the wood burning stove, there is a large sofa, chairs and an extendable oak table.
The dining room has a large antique oak table and also a smaller table in the bay window, this allows families to all dine together on locally fired, Denby crockery.
The recently installed farmhouse kitchen contains everything that you may need including a gas fired five burner, double oven range cooker, double width catering eye level grill, microwave, double drainer Belfast sink for meat and vegetable preparation, additional double sink for washing up, dishwasher, large drum washing machine and large American style fridge freezer. In terms of pots / pans / bowls / utensils etc.. everything you may need (within reason!!) is provided. Or a local caterer can be arranged to provide meals for you. There are also 2 pubs and 2 cafes serving food in the village.
The grounds feature a mature garden full of visiting birds including our friendly woodpecker, both a sheltered patio and a large barbeque area offering amazing views of the surrounding peaks. There is ample off road parking. Travel cot and high chair available.
The perfect setting to relax and enjoy stunning scenery and luxury together. Edale is located in the centre of the Peak District National Park and is a perfect base for outdoor activities such as walking, mountain biking, climbing; or to explore the historic castles, villages and stately homes. Belmont House is the perfect country retreat.
Located in Hope Valley, this vacation home is in a rural area and in the mountains.
