For walkers, the nearby High Peak Trail provides an excellent starting point for a challenging hike through this spectacular part of the world. Nearby Carsington Water boasts a variety of scenic walks around the reservoir and beyond. Why not try a spot of kayaking, cycling, sailing or fishing. Matlock Bath has a huge selection of cafes and ice cream parlours and is also the starting point for the cable car that takes you to the Heights of Abraham. Stepping into the hallway of the cottage is a space where you can hang your coats and take off your boots and wander through to the cosy open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. In the lounge area there is a comfy sofa to snuggle up on by the beautiful roaring wood burner and TV, a great place to relax after a day hiking the hills. The kitchen offers everything you need to rustle up a satisfying meal such as an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer and washing machine. Enjoy the results of your cooking at the nearby dining table. There is a ground floor shower room with shower and WC which will get you fit and ready for a day exploring the hills. Heading upstairs to the first floor the huge high ceiling in the bedroom is impressive and feels light and airy. There is a super king size bedroom which will provide a good night s rest, with complimenting furniture and wardrobe space. Outside to the front of the cottage is a hot tub which is incredibly inviting throughout the year and the perfect place to relax and unwind. There is roadside parking, subject to availability.
