Haddon Grove Farm Cottages easily cater for most needs. With extensive sleeping capacity for up to 50 people across 10 cottages (with additional capacity for weddings), every need can be catered for, whether it is large group dining, or just discovering Derbyshire, the management team is available to help. From the on-site reception/shop facility, help with planning your stay is available so that you can take advantage of all that the Peak District Park has to offer! Or if you want to relax, you can make use of the on-site heated swimming pool and games facility.
This beautifully decorated cottage has one kingsize and one twin room. Together with Dandelion, it is ideal for eight people or two families since it has the option of an interconnecting door and the benefit of seating for the whole party whilst still allowing you to have your own privacy.
Whether it’s rambling, rock climbing, fishing or cycling, there is a myriad of activities easily accessible from your cottage(s) at Haddon Grove. The rugged Dark Peak and the Limestone White Peak are close by, while Mam Tor, Kinder Scout and the Crystal Caverns of Blue John are all a short drive away. Haddon Grove is literally on the doorstep of the bustling market town of Bakewell, and close to the cultural spa town of Buxton. Similarly, it is a short trip to the beautiful village of Hathersage and its quaint shops and pubs where you can also pay your respects at the burial place of Little John, the legendary fellow outlaw of Robin Hood. The World Heritage Site at Cromford Mills, the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, is only a 30-minute journey by car. Whilst there, add the factory shop at the world famous John Smedley Mills to your ‘to do’ list, and a required destination for any cotton or cashmere purchase. If you fancy a change of scenery during your stay at Haddon Grove, then the city centres of Manchester, Sheffield, Nottingham and Chesterfield are all within an hour’s drive. Derbyshire’s scenery is truly breathtaking with its natural stone buildings and endless stone walls set against a stunning backdrop of hills, dales, rivers and streams, with each boasting many varied and beautiful landscapes. In addition, the stately homes of Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall provide a blend of custom, heritage and history, and offers a family attraction appealing to all ages. For even more excitement, you can always spend a theme park day at nearby Alton Towers or the Heights of Abraham. Or have an ‘out of this world’ experience with a visit to the National Space Centre or Jodryll Bank.
