The village of Newton Ferrers is just 10 miles from Plymouth. Surrounded by ancient woodland and creeks, the village sits on the Yealm estuary, the waters edge has a slipway and mooring for boats. There is a pub which serves food, a shop and tea room. The Warren is a beautiful stretch of coastline and circular walking routes take you along the cliff tops overlooking the sea.The village of Noss is just a ferry crossing over or, you can walk across the estuary at low tide and offers two pubs. Attractions in the area include Saltram House and Gardens, National Marine Aquarium, the Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery and the Theatre Royal. On entering this historic property, the comfortable lounge has attractive décor and stylish furniture which entices you in.
