Set on the coastal road, just 600 yards above sheltered Maidencombe Beach and the village’s pretty thatched inn, these six very comfortably furnished holiday properties all have separate entrances and enjoy the use of an acre of attractively landscaped gardens with extensive sea views (except 28865). They are ideally situated for the coastal path, yet still enjoy a peaceful and tranquil setting for abundant local wildlife. Bluebell (ref 28864, set on the first floor) and Foxglove (ref 28867, on the second floor with a roof terrace giving spectacular sea views) are situated in a purpose-built extension to the owner’s Victorian residence, whilst Poppy (ref 28865, a first floor apartment) is part of the original house. Lavender (ref 28868, set on the first floor above the owner’s accommodation) is accessed through the main reception, and Laurel (ref 28863) and Chestnut (ref 28866) are comfortable two-storey properties, and all the properties accept pets, apart from Lavender (ref 28868). The ‘English Riviera’ is famous for its mild climate and is ideal for year-round breaks. Torquay, with its many amenities is only 4 miles away. These are the perfect properties for family get-togethers, friends’ reunions and celebrations. There are 22 miles of coastline, cliffs, coves, beaches and walks with opportunities for surfing, swimming, diving, sailing and angling. Torquay is an ideal base from which to visit Dartmouth, Totnes, Exeter and Plymouth. It is a place in which to relax, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a holiday in a classic English seaside resort. Torquay town centre and Living Coasts are about 5 minutes away. Oddicombe Beach is also close by, and discover the shopping area of St Marychurch, a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of the harbour area. Oddicombe Beach can be reached by foot down a very steep, wooded lane, or choose a more gentle ascent on the historic Babbacombe Cliff Railway. One of only a few original working funicular railways, the Babbacombe Cliff Railway has been transporting visitors up and down the 240 foot cliff-face since 1926. A short stroll from Oddicombe Beach leads to Babbacombe Beach and a pub. Nearby, visit the Babbacombe Model Village. Exeter and Plymouth are within an easy drive. There are many National Trust properties, including Agatha Christie’s summer house in Galmpton. Golf and walking locally. Shops 2 miles, pub and restaurant 600 yards.
