It is a large, south-facing, detached, family home, which has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The property is spacious and is ideal for family or friends to get together. It is set in 2 acres of enclosed garden with terraces and well-positioned seating to enjoy the sun all day. This is the perfect location for beach holidays, walking, cycling, birdwatching and surfing.

Abbotskerswell village has a good food pub, shop, café and church, mid-way between the edge of Dartmoor at Ashburton with local shops, cafés and restaurants, and the seaside resort of Torquay, which has a theatre, good shopping and harbour. There are 22 miles of coastline, cliffs, coves, beaches and walks to explore, with opportunities for surfing, swimming, diving, sailing, angling and to study the natural wildlife at leisure. Stunning views are to be seen just about everywhere across the bay, out over the English Channel, along the 40 miles of Lyme Bay to Portland Bill, or inland towards the tors of Dartmoor.

This is an ideal base from which to visit Dartmouth, Totnes, Exeter and Plymouth. Paignton with its zoo, steam railway and sandy beaches are worth a visit. Brixham makes a great day out with its fishing port or catch the boat from Torquay. Explore Totnes, an attractive old town on the River Dart, with river cruises to Dartmouth, where you can visit castles, go shopping or just take in the sights. For golf enthusiasts, a golf course can be found 1 mile away. Newton Abbot, an old market town, is 2 miles away. Discover National Trust castles at Compton, 3 miles and Berry Pomeroy. There are many other NT places to visit, including Greenway, Agatha Christie’s summer home. Explore Dartmoor, with its rocky tors, wild ponies, exquisite walks, horse riding, fishing, cycling, falconry and golf at Bovey Castle, an award-winning course. Don’t forget to stop for a cream tea in one of the many tea shops on Dartmoor.
