The beautiful coastal village of Worth Matravers with its old stone cottages, duckpond, tea rooms and the 18th century Square and Compass pub is the jewel in Purbeck s crown. From the village, short walks down country paths lead to spectacular spots on the south coast. The closest town is Swanage (3.5 miles). With a sandy beach, Victorian pier, beach huts, quirky cafés, fish & chip shops and a thriving arts scene, it offers a unique blend of 1950s seaside charm and 21st century modernity. Nearby you can visit Studland s vast sandy beaches, the medieval ruin at Corfe Castle, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Brownsea Island. A couple of steps lead up into the hall where you can leave coats and boots. You will find a large, light filled open plan kitchen/dining room, which is the heart of the house and a perfect space for enjoying a family meal. The kitchen is superbly equipped with a range oven, dishwasher and breakfast bar, and the dining area looks out onto the garden and the sea beyond. The washing machine and dryer are housed in a nearby utility room. There s also a charming snug with an oak floor, TV and wood burner and a games room with table tennis, pool table, Nintendo console, drinks fridge and huge TV. All the rooms along the back of the house have patio doors to the garden. Six steps lead down to the lower ground floor where you will find two bedrooms: a double room and a twin room which can be made up as a super king (please request this when you book). The twin room also has an en suite shower room with WC and there is a separate bathroom with bath, walk in shower and WC. A curved staircase leads you to the first floor where there is a shower room and two more bedrooms: one double and one twin, both beamed and with reduced height in the eaves. A further six steps lead up to the second floor which features a bright, double aspect lounge with a TV and a Juliet balcony with magnificent sea views. There is also a beamed double bedroom with an en suite shower room with WC. Stepping outside there s a large garden with fantastic views. The garden is mostly lawn with a terrace split over two levels and is edged with flower beds and shrubs. There s a swing slide set for children, a stone fire pit, a BBQ, croquet and a choice of other outdoor games. There is ample parking available.
