This lovely cottage is just 3 miles from the busy town of Dorchester where you can visit Max Gate the former home of Thomas Hardy. You can also explore Hardy s birthplace in the pretty village of Higher Bockhampton (2 miles). Other local attractions include Maiden Castle (4.5 miles) Littlebredy Walled Gardens (10.5 miles) the Nine Stones (8.5 miles) and the Winterbourne Poor Lot Barrows (9.5 miles). The village of Abbotsbury (12.5 miles) is known for its ruined abbey unique swannery subtropical gardens and Iron Age hillfort. You can discover Dorset s stunning coastlines with the dramatic Lulworth Cove (11 miles) Ringstead Bay (8.5 miles) and the popular seaside town of Weymouth (9.5 miles) all within easy reach. Three steps lead into the hall with its flagstone floor and then into the comfortable and tastefully furnished lounge. Off-road parking is available for three cars.
