This magnificent, ‘upside down’ barn conversion enjoys wonderful views and is in an excellent, central location for exploring seaside towns and villages, stunning countryside, mountains and beaches of the Llyn Peninsula.. This stunning ‘upside down’ barn conversion, standing detached, has been finished to a high standard and has a delightful living room/kitchen on the first floor with French doors opening to a decked balcony with great views of the surrounding countryside. From the living room, a wonderful wrought iron spiral staircase leads down to the bedroom and shower room, and can be illuminated at night for a special effect! The unobtrusive and friendly owners live opposite, and are on hand should you need advice or assistance during your stay. Their very well behaved family pets are also friendly and welcoming, but do not present a nuisance.
This is an excellent, central location on the Llyn Peninsula, giving easy access to all corners, with mountains, beaches and many attractions. The bustling market town of Pwllheli is within a few minutes’ drive and has a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants, not to mention the stunning beach which seems to go on for miles, topped with grassy sand dunes. Criccieth with its historic, hilltop castle and beach is a little further to the east, as is Porthmadog with the famous Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland railways. Take the steam train on a nostalgic journey through the breath taking scenery of the Welsh mountains from Porthmadog in the south, to the delightful town of Caernarfon in the north, with its majestic castle standing proudly at the harbour.
The seaside villages of Nefyn, Abersoch and sleepy Aberdaron are within easy reach and worth a visit, as is the stunning village of Porthdinllaen, situated literally on the beach. Nant Gwrtheyrn on the north coast is a disused quarry village, and a café provides refreshments after a bracing walk down to the beach.
The area is also great for walkers with the Llyn coastal footpath to explore, or take a boat trip to Bardsey Island. There is so much to see and do, you are sure to return. Shop 1 mile, pub 2 ½ miles.
