The Honey Pot is a truly romantic cottage, surrounded by the gorgeous gardens of Tyddyn Mawr Country House. The cottage is uniquely designed in French ‘Louis’ style with carefully selected items of furniture and sumptuous soft furnishings. With their attention to detail and appreciation for where they live, the owners have created a wholly stunning place to stay.
This very special cottage has a Visit Wales 5* award for excellence and is a wonderful place to visit throughout the year. In spring and summer you can walk through the gardens, feed the ducks and picnic by the private lake; while in the colder months you can curl up in the cosy sitting room away from the elements. The well-equipped kitchen is the perfect place to prepare and enjoy the local produce on offer at the nearby farm shop.
Guests may fish on the private lake or on the River Dwyfor, which forms part of the boundary of the grounds. Beyond the grounds there is plenty to see and do, with the harbour town of Porthmadog and the beautiful coastal village of Borth y Gest just a short drive away. The delightful Italianate village of Portmeirion is within easy reach, along with the huge number of activities and attractions of the Snowdonia National Park.
