This house and adjoining cottage are special and located in the most glorious peaceful pocket of England in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Beautiful house and adjoining cottage are available for luxury self catering. Sleeping up to 18 guests in beds in 9 spacious bedrooms with 9 bathrooms affording luxury and privacy plus 3 infants in cots. A ground floor bedroom in the cottage has Mobility 1 status and is perfect for those who 'dont do stairs'. The beds are high specification hypnos superking zip and link beds and the linen is 400 count egyptian.

The heart of the house is the fantastic kitchen with 4 door aga (operational during winter months only), 2 electric fan assisted ovens, 2 dishwashers and American FF with icemaker. 2 further fridge freezers in the laundry room and cottage kitchen plus a larder for food storage. All geared up and equipped to cater for large groups. Here entertaining is easy and fun. We also have a great local caterer who guests use often. She is authorised to work on our property.

The dining area seats 18-20 plus there are 4 further reception rooms with comfy sofas and wood burners. The outside table also seats 18 on the south facing terrace.

The garden is private about 2 acres including a large terrace with bbq (supplied during the summer months) and garden furniture for 18. There is plenty of space to play activities including house badminton. In addition there is a playing field with 2 football goals. A games room is located in the outbuildings with pool table and table football. A rustic table tennis room is a great space for letting off steam....bring your trainers and fleece..no heating and it has a concrete floor! The playing field and games room and table tennis room have shared use by the Cider Mill during day light hours only. By arrangement tennis can be played at Eardisley Tennis Club.

The house has enjoyed guests from all over the UK and world. Mostly celebrating a birthday, anniversary or annual reunion. It is an ideal location in the centre of England for people travelling from all over the UK. It also provides unique accommodation in that each bedroom has a superking bed (zip and link) with its own bathroom. This combination of matched bedrooms and bathrooms is difficult to find.

Walking and canoeing are the most popular activities being located on the Wye Valley Walk and close to the River Wye (look at the sketch map). There are great local cycle routes too (OS Explorer maps and cycling routes plus bike shed on site). You can approach Bulmers Angling Club and become a day member and fish on the Wye. Their beat of the Wye is within walking distance of the house. Llama trekking is increasingly popular. Dogs (maximum of 2) are welcome in the house and on the flagstone areas of the house by prior arrangement. A paws on floor policy applies Small charges apply

We also see lots of guests who enjoy their food. Herefordshire is such a good county for excellent produce. There are lots of local producers nearby plus the excellent farmshop Oakchurch is only 1.8 miles away. There is a fantastic range of pubs all wthin 20 minutes from excellent value to michelin star. Lots of guests walk from the house to the Red Lion at Bredwardine. It takes a good hour and much of the walk is beside the Wye. Slightly further afield guests visit The Stagg at Titley and the Kilpeck Inn.

We also have a charming mill house listed called the Cider Mill listing number 10736596 which sleeps 6. It is located across the paddock and please refer to the sketch map if interested. The combined number of sleeps if taking Monnington House (18) and the Cider Mill (6) is 24 in 12 bedrooms with 12 bathrooms. By arrangement the dining table can accommodate up to 24 and the kitchen is equipped for 24 .

Dogs by arrangement. No wedding groups accepted and no groups of 30 year olds.

Located in Hereford, this vacation home is in a rural area and on a river. Weobley Jubilee Heritage Trail and Hereford Cider Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include The Weir Garden and Herefordshire Raceway. Traveling with kids? Consider Small Breeds Farm Park and Owl Centre, or check out an event or a game at Edgar Street. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
